Bristlebrak was bloomed, with many of his fellow brethren, roughly thirty years prior. He enjoyed simple times during what passes for childhood among his kind. When he was only ten years of age a demonic lieutenant of the Kez’rakai attempted to make a name for itself by attacking the forest creatures near Zyriana’s Gift. Fearful the tree would be discovered and injured the Children of Zyriana laid waste to the invading force. Bristlebrak showed exceptional skill at fighting, like many of his kind, but foolishly went up against the lieutenant alone. The demonic fires wielded by the evil leader destroyed Bristlebrak’s left arm. The burn was born of evil and nothing could replace the missing limb.
That day forward a bit of the childlike innocence born in all of Zyriana’s children left Bristlebrak, noticeable to his kind but less so to others. He left his grove and allied himself to any who fought the evil of the world. He became known as the “Thorn of Zyriana”, some even prefer to call him Thorn. His namesake comes mostly from the long slender sword he had crafted from his severed limb. As sharp as any metal blade his weapon has also earned a name for itself, Zyriana’s Fury.
The Tera’ni have no real leadership structure so Bristlebrak has taken it upon himself to attend the secret gathering in Zefyron’s Bastion as a spokesman and warrior for his people.
